Through the past year, I embarked on a journey to understand my identity in my new country of residence. It was a fine balance between introspection and conversations with my contemporaries. Learning from stories of other individuals, decoding images from a familial past, acknowledged tensions with the unknown. In search for the familiar, I foraged for answers in my grandfather’s photographs. Extended conversations with other Indian individuals, who have been living and studying abroad.
My grandfather’s images, their words, anecdotes from my experience, we're all interconnected.
Reflecting a similar sense of transience, living in-between, sharing a contemporaneous experience.
An Identity. An Entity. In-between.
